Parking - Cars

There are many choices for parking in the Independence National Historical Park area. For those of you parking on the street, be mindful of all signs, rules and regulations, plus don't forget to feed the parking meter. In addition to street parking, there are many parking lots and garages that are near the Independence Visitor Center at 6th & Market Streets. For your convenience, parking is available underground at the Independence Visitor Center, plus many other parking facilities that are detailed below (note that we have also included directions to the Independence Visitor Center from each parking facility):

• Central Parking Auto Park at Independence Mall - 6th Street between Market & Arch Streets. Entrances are located on 6th Street and on 5th Street.
  Enter the Independence Visitor Center by using the elevator or stairs inside the parking garage.
• The Bourse Parking - between 4th and Ranstead Street.
  Exit the garage and make a left onto 4th Street. Walk to Market Street (at the 1st traffic light) and make a left on Market Street. Take Market Street to 5th Street (1st traffic light) and cross 5th Street. Follow diagonal brick walk to the Independence Visitor Center.
• Central Parking System - on Market Street between 8th and 9th Streets.
  Enter on 8th Street to Park. Leaving from 8th Street, turn left and walk to Market Street. Make a right on Market Street and continue walking East to 6th Street.
• Five Star Parking - on 8th and Chestnut Streets. Enter to park on 8th Street or on Chestnut Street.
  Exiting the building on 8th Street, walk to the right to Market Street. On Market Street make a right and continue for two blocks to 6th Street.
• Five Star Parking - between 6th & 7th Streets on Market Streets (Closed Sunday).
  Exit building onto 7th Street. Make right at corner onto Market Street. Take Market Street to 6th Street.
• Parkway Parking - on the East side of 8th Street at Ranstead Street.
  Make a right on 8th Street and walk to Market Street. Make a right on Market Street and take it to 6th Street.
• Parking Plaza - Quaker City Auto - on 8th and Filbert Streets.
  Exit parking facility on Arch Street. Make a left on Arch Street and walk to 6th Street. Make a right on 6th Street.
